SIMONA-GRAZIA DIMA (Romania)

Poet, essayist, literary critic, translator and editor, SIMONA-GRAZIA DIMA graduated from the Faculty of Letters, University of Timisoara, as national valedictorian. She lives in Bucharest. Member of the Romanian Writers’ Union, Secretary of Romanian PEN-Club (2006–2015) and member of its committee (2015–2016).

She is a regular contributor to the major literary magazines in Romania and to publications abroad. She has authored 30 collections, among which 20 of poetry (13 original collections and 7 anthologies, several of the latter having been translated into foreign languages and published abroad), and also 8 collections of essays and literary criticism as well as two translations from English and Italian. Selections from Simona-Grazia Dima’s poems and essays have been translated into English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Hungarian, Serbian, Slovak, Turkish, Scotts Gaelic, Albanian. Included in anthologies and collections published in Romania and abroad. National and international awards and participations into literary events.
