Florin Dumitrescu (Romania)

FLORIN DUMITRESCU debuted as a lyricist for Timpuri Noi in the late 1980s. He devoted himself to Sarmalele Reci, for whom he has been the sole lyricist since 1993. Over the next thirty years, he composed lyrics for a variety of pop, rock, folk and jazz musicians. His most recent musical project is the collaboration with saxophonist and composer Mihai Iordache for the album Zeuții (2022), transposed into an experimental jazz and spoken word show.

Author of the volumes Ana are mere (1997), ÎNcântece (2007), Dodii (2016) and Sentimentul naturii (2023), he participates in the three collective volumes of the Marfă group (1996, 2012 and 2019).
