Cécile Ossant (France)

Cécile OSSANT, a geographer, has devoted much of her career to working on projects emerging in the high grass of rural fields and mountain landscape, closely engaging with local communities. In spring 2023, she founded the small publishing house Toi Édition (https://arpenterlesmots.com), where she also publishes her poetry, in the “places and faces” collection. 

As an author, she has published Au hasard du balancier (At the Mercy of the Pendulum, Toi Édition, 2023), the artist’s book Le souffle de l’asphodèle (The Breath of the Asphodel, L’œil de la Méduse, 2024), and will release Sinon d’elle (If Not of Her, La Kainfristanaise, 2026). She is currently working on Les preuves de la terre (The Proofs of the Earth).
