CĂTĂLINA BEŢA took nothing for granted, she worked and paid for every milestone of her journey in this life. A disturbingly pure, expressive and charming vocal presence, a voice that “dresses in velvet”, revealing through her singing a soul of rare delicacy. Singer and composer, experimenting with several musical genres (electro and jazz, bossa nova and chorus, folk, blues), Cătălina Oana Beţa was introduced to jazz during her college years, in Iaşi, and fell irremediably in love with the inexhaustible richness of this musical genre. She won important prizes at the musical competitions she participated in. After graduating from college, she retired from musical life for a few years. In 2008, she moved to Bucharest and returned to her vocation, music. A pure, sensitive velvet voice, full of subtleties and nuances, she leaves her personal mark in every sound. Since 2016, she is also a student of the National University of Music Bucharest, Jazz Composition department. An already well-known and beloved presence on the Bucharest underground music scene, he has a rich concert activity in Bucharest and across the country.
