Carmen Florea (Romania)

CARMEN FLOREA graduated in Philosophy from the University of Bucharest and in Marketing from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. She also holds a master’s degree in Publishing Theory and Practice from the University of Bucharest. She once dreamed of owning her own bookshop, but as her career took her in other directions, she “adopted” one at Cărturești. She works in PR and communications, conducts interviews, and edits books. She is a contributor to Golan Magazine and filme-carti.ro. A book lover by nature, she seeks out bookstores wherever she travels.

Her poetry has appeared in O Mie de Semne, Noise Poetry, and Golan Magazine, as well as in the anthologies O tandrețe strict teoretică (Noise Poetry 2, O tandrețe strict teoretică, Cartex Publishing House, 2025). Her prose has been published in Antologia 30 (Paralela 45 Publishing House, 2024) and in the anthology Suprapun realități, spun minciuni (Editura pentru Artă și Literatură, 2025).

She coordinates the Poetic Hub project and the poetry anthology Contorsionări zilnice / Daily Contortions (Charmides Publishing House, 2025).
